What's New At The Knitting Hut?

Summer Sale at The Knitting Hut Now!

Welcome to the latest edition of the newsletter.  With my baby due this week we have been contingency planning for the next couple of months.  In this newsletter we will introduce the new members of The Knitting Hut team and let you know what is happening with workshops and Click and Clack sessions in the short term.  Also, to make room for all the lovely new Winter stock expected at The Hut we are having a SALE so read on for more information!   The next copy of the newsletter will be out at the beginning of September.  Have a lovely summer (when it does finally arrive!) and I look forward to seeing you in the Autumn.  Sue

  Blog Apologies!

After getting all excited about doing our blog, I found that it isn't as easy as I thought!  I have now worked it out and hope to get round to updating it in the next couple of weeks (in between last minute preparations for baby and shop!)  However, if you logged on to look at the self-patterning sheep my apologies and here is what all the fuss was about!!  Kath spotted three of these beauties in a field during a trip to Scotland.

Meet The Team

I have been very lucky to have found some great help in the shop.  Some of you already know Kath, who has been helping me out for some time and now we have three new additions to the team.  Elaine and Lorna will be shouldering a lot of the work, both are excellent knitters, so if you have any knitting queries, just pop in and ask.  Andrea is continuing to be a great support by helping with Internet orders and email enquiries and I am also lucky to have Helena helping out in the shop.  Helena has only been knitting a short time but has done so well and progressed from a scarf to garments thanks to her determination and hard work.

Knitting and Stitching Show 2007

It may be early but we've already made plans to visit The Knitting and Stitching Show at Alexandra Palace.  Last year's trip was a great success!  Twenty five of us had a great day out and came home with lots of great purchases and inspiration.
If you would like to join us this year we will be going on Sunday 14th October.  The cost of the trip is £24.50 including your ticket, travel and a Knitting Hut Goody Bag for all those essential purchases!  We have a total of 47 places (we have booked a coach this year) and 26 of those have been pre-booked, so if you would like to join us, please email or contact the shop for a booking form.  Once full payment is received, your place will be confirmed.  We hope you can join us!
Learning Curve at The Knitting and Stitching Show

If you are coming to Alexandra Palace with us to The Knitting and Stitching Show then why not have a look at the mini workshops available on the Learning Curve at the show. There are Practical Projects which last an hour and cost £7.50 and demonstrations and talks which are £2.50. With inspiring titles such as “Embellish and Enrich”, “Japanese Embroidery” and “To bead or not to bead”, there should be something to tempt everyone! To view the selection of Learning Curve Sessions, visit: www.twistedthread.com And book your space whilst there’s still a good choice and spaces left as these workshops book up very quickly!
