The cost of each of these workshops is £40, which includes all materials, refreshments and lunch. Our workshops run from 10am - 3pm, except the 'Starting Socks' workshop series which runs from 10am - 12 midday.

Lacy Edgings & Shawl Knitting- 28th November 2008
Come along and learn how to make a lacy edging and find out how to construct a shawl. Suitable for confident knitters.

Heel to Toe - 3rd & 17th September, 1st October 2008
Over the course of three two hour sessions, learn how to start making socks with double pointed needles. On the first session we will show you how to start your sock, we will turn the heel on the second and finish the toe on the last! With two weeks between workshops you'll have plenty of time to practise.

Colour Crazy - 29th October 2008
We have been asked for a long time to run a workshop showing you how to use the Fairisle and Intarsia techniques to knit with more than one colour. It's not as hard as it looks once you know how to do it! We will also show you how to use a chart.

Beginners Crochet - 24th October 2008
During the course of this workshop we will show you how to hold the hook correctly, make a chain adn then go on to learn the basic crochet stitches. By the end of the day we will have made a crochet square, showing you how to crochet in the round. |
Intermediate Crochet - 14th November 2008
If you have mastered the basic crochet stitches and would like to be able to read patterns, increase and decrease and start crocheting edges, then come along and learn these skills and more! We will be crocheting a bag and you will go home with all the materials you need to finish the project. |
Advanced Crochet - 12th December
On this workshop we will be making a flower panel which can then be made into a bag or cushion. We will also look at Freeform Crochet. |
Knitting with Wire - 3rd December 2008
Come along and learn the techniques needed to knit with wire and beads to create a lovely necklace and bracelet! There will be a choice of wire and bead colours so this is your opportunity to be creative and enjoy a really fun day! |
Lacy Knitting Day - 7th November 2008
During this workshop we will show you how to use easy techniques to create beautiful lacy effects. We will be making a scarf constructed out of different lacy patterns so you get the opportunity to try different stitch combinations. We will also show you how to read a chart. |
